Products and Services section re-write
editThe products and services section in the current iteration of the article (as on September 13, 2011), make it look like a company brochure for the Antrix Corporation. Suggest re-write it:
- Antrix Corporation offers for sale various spacecraft sub-systems, remote sensing maps, leasing of transponders, launch services on board the PSLV, ground support, spacecraft testing and consultancy services.
I have added this currently as the intro to the section.
- The uncited sections sounding like advertisements removed. Anu Raj (talk) 02:32, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Controversy
editThere is no info about the S band controversy. I plan to add it to the article. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:58, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
- The controversy is about the spectrum allocation. Out of scope of the Antrix corporation, which is a product and services company. I believe it should be added to the ISRO page if it is that encyclopedic. Anu Raj (talk) 19:22, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- The S band spectrum scam is directly related to Antrix Corporation, and is relevant and encyclopedic content for both articles (ISRO and Antrix Corporation). --Engineering Guy (talk) 14:14, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Rsrikanth05: Looking forward to a good informative unbiased snippet around it . Go ahead please. Few relevant links [1], [2],[3] and [4]. The controversial contract was signed by Antrix corp. Shall appreciate a concise version though. Doesn't feel right to have such an elaborate Controversy section. Someone trim it please to maintain balance. Devopam (talk) 14:21, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Devopam: Sorry, it's been two years since I added that message and never actually got round to doing it. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:46, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- It's undue here and was trimmed by me before. I'll revert to it but it I think Engineering Guy objects to it. Among other issues and this, I started a discussion there in ISRO but let's focus on here. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 16:35, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Ugog Nizdast:, please let me know the version# and I will do the correction. I don't think @Engineering Guy: should not agree with it as well. Regards. Devopam (talk) 11:08, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Here. Let me know what you think of it. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 12:42, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- retained both !! linked to the scam article from Engineering Guy , and restored your edit in this article. Readers can now go through both the un/abridged versions depending on their interest level. Devopam (talk) 08:54, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

I feel it should be the other way round, after all the scam is directly related to Antrix; the lesser version should be in ISRO while the expanded version here (This issue is still questionable given the drastic difference in opinion from at least four of us). I'm unsure but, for now, fine with what you did. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 11:56, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
