Why is temple architecture is placed under History section?

Why is temple architecture is placed under History section? While every other architecture like forts and palaces are under separate para Sajaypal007 (talk) 21:35, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

The most famous and most-visited historic architecture of Rajasthan, by far, is the later Rajput forts, palaces, and to a lesser extent the cenotaphs. I imagine this is what most readers are most interested in. So in this case I thought it better to have these together in a section at the top, and then have the usual chronological run-through of other periods. What the article most needs now, I think, is a section on havelis. Johnbod (talk) 12:05, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

• Oppose both articles are on distinct subjects that article is about architecture constructed by Rajput rulers( who were mostly but not entirely from Rajasthan). That article also includes information about Maru Gurjara style which was predominant in Gujarat (ruled by Solanki Rajputs ) it also includes information about pakistani forts constructed by rajputs. Theres a category on Rajput architecture and it includes Monuments from not only Rajasthan but neighboring Gujarat Uttrakhand Pakistan and others i believe that article is just a stub now and will be expanded from this category in future its too early to merge it. • Oppose - the subjects are distinct, though the current articles don't make this as clear as they could. Look at the long list of states given at Rajput where they lived. I don't myself think Māru-Gurjara architecture (which I wrote most of) belongs in Rajput architecture - that content should be merged, imo. But only that. Johnbod (talk) 03:05, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
• Oppose: Both are different topics. The Architecture of Rajasthan can never be synonymous to Rajput architecture as there are many notable monuments in Rajasthan like Deeg Palace, Lohagarh Fort, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra, Ajmer Sharif which were not built by Rajput rulers. At the same time, a large number of Rajput monuments don't belong to Rajasthan but Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. The non-Rajasthan Rajput monuments are eligible to be inserted in Rajput architecture and non-Rajput monuments in Rajasthan are eligible to be entered in Architecture of Rajasthan.
