Orphaned references in Architecture of Wales
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Architecture of Wales's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 02:02, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
I've tweaked the William Burges section regarding the influence of Park House on Welsh 19th century architecture. I don't think the sources support the suggestion that the house had little wider influence. Pevsner and BLBO both contend that its influence was, in fact, considerable. Architecture of Wales?
"...excluding castles and fortifications, ecclesiastical architecture and industrial architecture. It covers the history of domestic, commercial, and administrative architecture."
So it's not really about the architecture of Wales? Srnec (talk) 03:22, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
This is fair comment, but when in 2015 the article was created its length was already over 200,000 bytes, which is over the recommended length for an article. At that time most other countries had fairly lengthy entries. Apart from Hilling's overview of Welsh Architecture (which has now been re-written), and unlike England or Scotland, there was a lack of a general survey of Welsh architecture. There is, however, extensive literature on Welsh architecture, particularly with the completion Pevsner's "Buildings of Wales" series. This article does illustrate a surprising character as well as richness exhibited by Welsh architecture. This has been largely ignored by English writers, who tend to view architecture in Wales as an extension of "English" building traditions. To prevent this article becoming too lengthy, what is now needed are parallel articles on Welsh Castles and Fortifications, Ecclesiastical architecture, and Industrial and transport architecture. Hopefully someone will take up the challenge and provide these articles.(Tyssil (talk) 22:24, 2 November 2020 (UTC))
