Side picture not relevant to Argentine cuisine

edit

The picture with the caption "Scones are also commonly served with jam and clotted cream (commonly known as a cream tea)." was either meant to be included in the "British cuisine" article or I'm missing something there. Scones with jam and clotted cream MIGHT be found in high-end hotels as part of a traditional English-style afternoon tea party. They are BY NO MEANS common to Argentine cuisine. Why not include a picture and caption of facturas instead? (What's wrong with people who wrote this article? Are they expats not living the Argentine reality? Was it written by people overseas who never visited Argentina and based their knowledge on what they read? Maybe fellow Argentinians trying to pass our cuisine as a European enclave in South America?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.190.132.83 (talk) 05:49, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dear, whether you like or dislike, most of Argentina's cuisine is a European enclave in South America since the vast majority of the population are of European origin, for example in my childhood 40 years ago I was eating (like many other Argentines ) scones made in the Benedictine Monastery of El Siambón (Province of Tucumán). To clarify further: the scons and the tea ( the tea although of Chinese origin introduced in Argentina since the late nineteenth century by the English) is very common use among the middle class and the upper class (more than 50% of Argentina's population) Argentina for at least 120 years. Now if we want to make it seem as "primitive" indigenous and the question is another...(Remember: Jorge Luis Borges and Julio Cortázar or Lola Mora or Rogelio Yrurtia or Marta Minujín or Manuel Mujica Láinez or Osvaldo Soriano or Roberto Arlt or Tomás Eloy Martínez or Alberto Laiseca or Adolfo Bioy Casares or Jorge Fontanarrossa or...etc etc...) --186.22.58.207 (talk) 01:55, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Alcoholic Beverages

edit

I started reading the article, but when I got to the beverages part I just cracked up entirely. It has too many unneeded quotes and stuff. It was kinda ok up to this point, but it really needs improvement. Will try to get on that.

Also, this talk page has too many butthurts I see. No need to be like that fellow Argentinians. Robmdza (talk) 08:11, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
