edit- I thought that the Arnold family's royal lineage has been disproven by the NEHGS. Any input?
- Yes, the purported royal lineage of William Arnold of Providence and Pawtuxet, RI was exposed as fraudulent in 1902 when Edson S. Jones visited England and discovered the correct lineage. The correct ancestry was published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register in 1915.Sarnold17 (talk) 17:20, 6 September 2010 (UTC
- It appears that the original intent of this article was one particular Arnold family from New England, though in reality it covered descendants of two or possibly more imigrant ancestors. I've tried to organize and expand the article somewhat, but I'm not equipped to expand it into all "famous" Arnolds. I'm really only familiar with the descendants of the Rhode Island settler, William Arnold.Sarnold17 (talk) 23:45, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Is there any evidence of the reported marriage of Charlotte Arnold to Rev. Ebenezer Punderson in 1730? On August 2, 1732 he married Hannah Minor/Miner, according to the records of the Congregational Church in Stonington, Connecticut (Ancestry.com. Connecticut, Church Record Abstracts, 1630-1920 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: 2013) and the Groton Town Records (Ancestry.com.
