Merger proposal
editI am proposing that the independently sourcable content from Ärsha Vidya Sannyasi Disciples be merged into this article, since theer is no indication that the liast of AV disciples is notable by itself. The sourceable content is likely to be just bits from this section and the names of a few disciples, for example the ones mentioned here (or in similar works not published by the gurukul press).
Aside: I think the Arsha Vidya Gurukalam is likely notable enough to have a wikipedi article, but the current version needs to be cleaned-up and sourced properly to be useful to a reader. Abecedare (talk) 14:32, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure who should be included. If this stays a stand-alone list of people then those guidelines apply which means basically all the entries must be notable by our criteria. When merged, it's WP:NLIST which is a bit less clear but I think that we would treat it as we would treat alumni - notability criteria for people would apply. So if we don't merge, it's likely AfD is the only option, and if we do merge, it's going to have to be heavily culled (in fact I'd argue all the names go and if someone can create individual articles for any of them those names can be restored. - I have rewritten the article from scratch using (more or less) independent sources, and you were right: I didn't find anything specifically from Ärsha Vidya Sannyasi Disciples that would be usefully added here. So I am redacting the merge proposal and instead staring an AFD for the disciples article (since that article is not a likely search topic and hence a redirect would not be very useful either).
