The autonym and subsp. insulana both have synonyms, too. They need to be included in the species box. In this case, there will be three references for synonyms: one for each taxon that has them. You could use the synonyms_ref parameter for all three refs, but I like keeping the citations closer to the list of synonyms for each taxon. So here's what I do using {{Species list}}:
{{Species list
| hidden = yes
| header = Species<ref name= powo/>
| taxon | authorities
etc.
}}
{{Species list
| hidden = yes
| header = subsp. ''whatever''<ref name= powowhatever/>
| taxon | authorities
etc.
}}
{{Species list
| hidden = yes
| header = subsp ''another''<ref name= powoanother/>
| taxon | authorities
etc.
}}
You can call {{Cite POWO}} in the header parameter of Species list and it doesn't cause problems. I just used an example here as if they were already defined. Does this make sense? I guess we should have this written down somewhere. – Elizabeth (Eewilson) (tag or ping me) (talk) 19:53, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh, one minor nitpick - can you please specify the "three Arctic territories" in the Distribution and habitat section? As a foreigner, I have no idea what areas that refers to, and I imagine I wouldn't be the only one, so it would be best to list the territories directly IMO. I did it. Plus there were a couple of bare url references that needed templates. One was actually to a site that no longer existed. Found the current one for Panarctic Flora and updated it using cite web. – Elizabeth (Eewilson) (tag or ping me) (talk) 21:18, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
