Proposed Deletion of Asansol-Tatanagar-Kharagpur line
editThe page should not be deleted because it is an important freight line. It carries iron ore and coal for four steel plants -Tata Steel, Durgapur Steel Plant, IISCO Steel Plant and Bokaro Steel Plant. Moreover, it is historically important as being a part of the first line to connect Mumbai/ Western India with the Howrah- Delhi line, via Nagpur, being much shorter than the earlier Howrah-Allahabad-Mumbai line. The page should be retained. - Chandan Guha (talk) 15:09, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Seconding Chandan Guha here. This is an important passenger and freight line and is a part of the national trunk route between Howrah and Mumbai via Nagpur was once the main line of the Bengal Nagpur Railway. I would request that rather than deletion, Anupamdutta73 suggest modifications. GoldenDragon2293Return (talk) 16:38, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, sorry if it was unclear. I have already contested the deletion by removing the tag on the article. This is the talk page, the notice here does not mean the article will get deleted. All it does is tell you that an editor proposed a deletion in the past. Keeping the notice here should help prevent the article getting proposed for deletion again. Hope this helps NemesisAT (talk) 11:44, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
