Charles Matthews According to the Telegraph (syndicated by The St. Andrews Bay Pilot of 18 November 1880), Eden had a son who was killed striking a snake with the butt of his rifle. ("Carelessness with Firearms" col 2 rt hand side.) Might we find a little more information on putative son somewhere? All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 23:38, 2 November 2015 (UTC).Reply
