Full Back
editI've endeavoured to edit Ashley's profile to indicate that he has expanded his positional range under the tutelage of Louis Van Gaal. Someone appears keen to deny Ashley his progress, because the edit has been removed on two occasions.
In short: Mr. Young is now (also) a full back. Beyond the verification that any observation of Ashley's exploits this season would provide, here are three articles to source this claim:
- http://www.espnfc.com/club/manchester-united/360/blog/post/2180633/ashley-young-a-player-reborn-at-utd
- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2716496/Ashley-Young-saved-Manchester-United-career-Old-Trafford-s-answer-Dirk-Kuyt.html
Let's give Ashley his due.

- You could definitely make a case that he's a wing-back, but to say he's a full-back is a bit of a stretch. If any site describes him as a "left-back", that's most likely just them using shorthand for left-wing-back. – PeeJay 20:19, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Jamaican father and English mother
editI think it should be said, he is mixed race — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.54.207.116 (talk) 00:22, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Do you have any reliable source to support that claim? Qed237 (talk) 00:24, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Also the article already states that his father is jamaican-born. Qed237 (talk) 00:26, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
