This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Australasian Films was one of the most important companies in the Australian film industry in the 1910s and 1920s. One cannot touch on the industry of that time without discussing the influence of Australasian. It had a major impact on the career of noted artists like Raymond Longford, built a major studio at Bondi and produced 'For the Term of His Natural Life' (1927) one of the most famous Australian silent films. I am bewildered as to why this page was nominated for speedy deletion.Dutchy85 (talk) 12:58, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
