Thapar Group is duplicate article, need to merge to this article. Here reference KuwarOnline Talk 15:42, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
I would not agree with KuwarOnline as the Thapar Group is the parent company for all the various groups within it. Avantha is just one of the many associates of the Thapar group. MuzzammilB (talk) 14:22, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
I also do not agrre to merge as said by User:MuzzammilB, Thapar Group was the original group founded by Karam Chand Thapar. Where as Avantha is a spun-off group owned by Gautam Thapar faction. The link cited by you also says so The genesis of the Avantha Group lies in the erstwhile Thapar Group. It says erstwhile Thapar Group - Jethwarp (talk) 06:20, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
