Please delete this Wikipedia's "Faizabad Cantonment" page

Sir, on Wikipedia we have already Faizabad Cantt page. And Faizabad Cantt and Faizabad Cantonment is same. That's why there is no need for two same pages on Wikipedia. That's why i am requesting to delete this "Faizabad Cantonment" Wikipedia page because we have already "Faizabad Cantt page. Thank you sir Ayodhya-prayagraj (talk) 18:38, 7 October 2022 (UTC)

The name Faizabad Cantt is more famous and common name than Faizabad Cantonment. Please merge Faizabad Cantonment with Faizabad Cantt Ayodhya-prayagraj (talk) 16:39, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

It looks like we have two articles on the same subject. Faizabad Cantonment is the older standing article, having existed since 2016. More significantly, this source at Cantonment#India uses the name Faizabad Cantonment. Since November 2018, the word Ayodhya Cantt is being used more than Faizabad Cantt. The government has renamed Faizabad Cantt as Ayodhya Cantt in October 2022. but since last 4 years The name Ayodhya Cantt is being used in most of the newspapers, news channels and also in public places. That's why I think Ayodhya Cantt or Faizabad Cantt is more common than Faizabad Cantonment name. Please Use Ayodhya Cantt or Faizabad Cantt as title name of this Wikipedia page Ayodhya-prayagraj (talk) 17:09, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Agree that Ayodhya seems to be the currently used name, as you can see from the Cantonment board website. Can I suggest, therefore, merging both to the existing redirect Ayodhya Cantonment. I think that Cantonment is better than Cantt as I'd argue that that abbreviation/truncation would be unfamiliar to most readers in English, and that other cantonment pages use this longer form for page names (see Category:Cantonment towns in Uttar Pradesh).
