Great article! It was pretty engaging to read. I made some mild sentence structure rearrangements, did some hyperlinking, and fixed some tense issues. Some of your sentences, I feel, would be benefitted by adding some extra detail to it:

Your sentence, “Eggs hatch into white larvae in 2–4 days under favorable weather conditions” in the “Life cycle” section should maybe specify what those specific, favorable weather conditions are.

Your sentence in the “Identification” section: “Adults hold their wings horizontally when walking and flick them in a specific, characteristic manner.” What manner is that exactly? A little confused on that sentence.

Isn’t the last sentence in your lead section more of a speculation sentence? Not quite sure if it can be there (although I do agree with its premise).andrewoh29 (talk) 21:27, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I thought this was very well written and there wasn't very much for me to edit. I added some hyperlinks as well to help make the article give the reader a better idea of the fly. Overall, great job! I can tell you are actually interested in your fly! KendalTLee (talk) 03:34, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

As wiki expert, I edited out the references in the lead section (that were already contained within the main article). I left reference 1 in there because that wasn’t used anywhere else, but it seems like another reference already covered that info in the distribution section. I suggest that reference 1 simply be deleted as it doesn’t add anything new. I looked through the rest of the article to make sure it followed the order given in the project diptera guidelines. I also went through and added in hyperlinks as there weren’t many, especially for specific terms like SIT and sister species. Finally, I went through and made sure there were no wiki code errors and other coding problems. Over, this is a good continuation of her fly that added on a lot of interesting info. I recommend adding more information to the identification section, take out the extensive list of fruits in the Host Selection section, and add more citations to the Life Cycle section. Overall a great article!Hannahwhite97 (talk) 03:27, 29 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I updated some hyperlinks to add more info to this page and evaluated it on the quality of the page as C-class. (Y.shiuan) 09:59, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Very well-written and well-thought-out article! I made minor changes to the inconsistent formatting of a few of the in-text references and made a couple stylistic word changes, but other than that the article was excellent. Great work, Olivia. (Eengermann)

I would definitely like to see what additions you make to this page if you continue to use B. tryoni in your next Wiki assignment. This article was very interesting! I would like to see more pictures added to the page, but overall, it was clear and effectively communicated. lelandra 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Overall a very well-written article. I added some hyperlinks throughout the various sections that will make understanding easier for the reader, as well as elaborated on the fruit punctures that you discuss in the Life Cycle section. Going forward, I think a discussion on the importance of the white eye locus on potential genomic studies/identifiable traits for experiments could be beneficial to the article as a whole. Apparent typo (?) 48 times in article

edit

The shorthand B. tyroni appears 48 times in this article. It appears to me the r and y have been transposed, but I'm not an insect expert so I have refrained from editing
