True Story?

Would love hear some references to the "true story"

I have searched high and low for some kind of references pertaining to the "true" story that happened in Spercerport NY. I haven't found a shred.

Well, I've read the novel (in which Ronald is far less sympathetic than as described here!). I don't remember any statement that it's "based on a true story", for what little that's worth. —Tamfang (talk) 07:01, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
