Removal of sources

Whoever removed the footnote citations for this article broke all the rules for how wiki is edited. Removing sources destroys the potential accuracy and chance for an article to become FA status. --I'll bring the food 14:34, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I have archived the talk page and put up the rewritten article that I've been working on since...hrm, January. A little less than six months later, here's the new version. Editing and expansion aside, the article's now pretty solid and totally lacking in arbitrary singer lists.  RasputinAXP  c 06:07, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

I think the upper range may be inaccurate on some of these vocal range pages; basso says that range generally rises to the E above middle C (although the image shows a D), bass-baritone to the F#, and baritone only to the F? Keppa 20:31, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

It's entirely possible; different sources give different ranges. The range on this article is from Grove's. I'll probably look it up later and see what they say about the other voice ranges.  RasputinAXP  c 01:47, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

I corrected the range given in Basso and removed it from Bass-baritone as Grove's doesn't cite a proscribed range for the bass-baritone.  RasputinAXP  c 20:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Baritone Roles in Operettas and Musicals

I re-added this section. I'm not sure why it was removed; it's present on all the other vocal range pages, and I find it interesting. If it's too long, trim it, or make a seperate list. Keppa 02:57, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

I killed the list because it's largely unmaintainable and a target for adding your favorite role, whether it really is baritone or not. I'll create a list of roles and link to it like I did to the "famous baritones."  RasputinAXP  c 18:16, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

notability of Armando Gabba, baritone singer?

A user has been edit-warring for deleting this entry:

from the disambiguation page Gabba, arguing that he's not notable enough to ever have a Wikipedia article, and thus to be listed as a redlink on a dab page. You can provide opinion and information (positive or negative) about it at the discussion page Talk:Gabba so as to help sort it out.

As I stated there, I have no problem with Gabba's notability, but the entry you show above is WAY too long for a dab article. It belongs in a separate article. Dab articles are for DISAMBIGUATION; they are not omnibuses. \ Fnarf999 \ talk \ contribs \ 19:16, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Classification

Isn't Rigoletto a verdian-baritone? He reaches as high as A-flat at the end of the opera (at least many singers do so), but never goes deaper than A below low C, so why is he not included in the Verdi-baritone category but instead in the dramatic category?

Now, since when Raimondi is a bel-canto baritone? He sang perhaps Mozart's Figaro but I don't think he did Rossini's. He is at least a bass-baritone if not a real bass.

I have changed the pitches numbers in this section because both the A and the B below low C (which is C3 and middle C is C4) said A3 and B3 respectively and should've said A2 and B2, that's why I changed them. Regards
