Transporter wagon
editHow were wide gauge wagons loaded onto the narrow gauge Transporter wagons?
- one at a time?
- using a crane?
- using a ramp?
- could you load several transporter waggons in a row?

- I know it's a long time since these questions were asked, this video has since been uploaded to youtube which may answer them. This is of the Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway in Staffordshire, also engineered by ER Calthrop.
- Did the Barsi Railway use transporter wagons? There's no mention of them in the article.

Shipping Containers
editIf the Calthrop system had been more widely used, modern ISO shipping containers might be 7 feet wide instead of 8 feet wide. Tabletop (talk) 08:34, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
