This article is in good shape. I have a few comments:
- suggest a first sentence of "The Battle of Mutukula took place from 21–22 January 1979 near and in the town of Mutukula, Uganda, during the Uganda–Tanzania War."
- in the lead, suggest explicitly mentioning that Mutukula overlooks the Ugandan-Tanzanian border
- also in the lead, mention that the Tanzanian forces crossed the border to surround the town
- also in the lead, comma after "following morning it attacked"
- link President of Uganda
- TPDF needs to be introduced in full with the initialisation in parentheses, then use the initialisation thereafter
- suggest "retaking Kagera"→"retaking the salient"
- link President of Tanzania
- link Major for consistency
- @Peacemaker67: I've enacted changes according to the above comments. -Indy beetle (talk) 23:09, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

- what rank was Yusuf Gowan?
- Added Major General
- do we know what type of tank(s) the Tanzanians were using?
- Unfortunately no.
- did the other Tanzanian battalions suffer casualties?
- Avirgan and Honey do not specify, and its quite possible none of them did, as the Ugandans were distracted by Boma's battalion and began to retreat once they were attacked from the flanks.
- Lukaya links to a disambiguation page
- Fixed.
- Masaka is duplinked in the final section
- Removed.
- image licensing is fine.
That's me done. Just placing on hold for the rest to be addressed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 00:08, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

- No prob. This article is well-written, verifiable using reliable sources, covers the subject well, is neutral and stable, contains no plagiarism, and is illustrated by an appropriately licensed image with an appropriate caption. Passing. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 02:46, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
