Redirect

edit

Why does Bell, Book and Candle redirect here? There are no other pages with similar names, even the play. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:42, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

@Walter Görlitz: I just happened upon your message here while coming to write the same thing. I couldn't believe WP didn't have a page on the play ... so I created one: Bell, Book and Candle (play). Please feel free to add to / edit it. Thanks. PS To answer your question, however, WP placed the title that is most common within the public vernacular and knowledge. Which in this case is the movie; not the band, play or term. Best. Maineartists (talk) 03:15, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Cast

edit

@Beyond My Ken: Hey there. I noticed you made several edits to this page. Although I do not agree with some of the changes (re-placement of the image of Novak); I must raise issue with your having doubled the name in the cast: Howard McNear as Andy White. Please correct. Thank you. Maineartists (talk) 12:52, 29 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Film title

edit

A bell, book, and candles were used historically in excommunication rituals, but why is a film comedy about witches so named? There is no reference to these devices in the article's plot description. Spideog (talk) 15:12, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
