- I've added {{merge}} template to the smaller article of these two. As the merge proposal is seen, the articles will be merged by willing users soon. Thank you for noticing. %Gryllida 08:31, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
no need to merge two as there is much difference between two articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.153.47.93 (talk) 04:01, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Bad Idea! Kingdom of Kashi is about the historic kingdom of Kashi, the present city of Varanasi, while Kasi Kingdom of Ancient India, is one that finds mention in ancient Hindu texts, as the intro and the subsequent texts mention of both clarify and are thus distinct. Needs disambig note on top that's all! --Ekabhishektalk 08:30, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- Now added the about template to avoid this confusion. Thanks! --Ekabhishektalk 08:44, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- Bad idea. The two articles are about two distinct subjects and a merge doesn't make sense. —SpacemanSpiff 19:03, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- It is a bad idea, but right now I do not know what to do about it. The article about ancient Kashi has a lot of content but I think all of it is totally bogus and ought to be deleted. I have not had time to find a good source about ancient Kashi, but its existence is documented in as much literature as the existence of ancient Greece is in Western literature. Merging the articles here would be like merging Ancient Greece with [[Greece]. It makes no sense.
- It seems like no one is interested in doing the actual merge. I will get to this when I can in about two months or whenever someone else also commits to working on it. If the articles do get merged, then I feel nothing is really lost because like I said the article on ancient Kashi is garbage and actually the one on modern Kashi is not good either.
