'Thousands of years of oysters'
editI changed 'thousands of years' to the less exact 'many long years' - As there is not evidence to prove such a claim - Whether aborigines had lived in Australia for thousands of years or not, they may not necessarily have lived around Sydney, nor may have been oyster shelling on that exact point for all that time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.242.30.23 (talk) 04:37, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
The point was originally a small tidal island, Bennelong Island.
editWho or where is the source for this statement "The point was originally a small tidal island, Bennelong Island", Please ? I can not find any text or pictorial reference to this ? ColinBorrott-Maloney (talk) 11:43, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- @ColinBorrott-Maloney: I have today added multiple reliable third-party sources that document the point's history, as a tidal island, through to a reclaimed headland. There are many other sources that claim the point was an island. However, these sources seems to be word-for-word copy/paste edits, using Wikipedia as the source.
