edit- Bereznianka originated in the Zakarpattian region of western Ukraine.
The "Zakarpattia region" that dancers refer to is mythical place, full of beautiful Ukrainian dances. The actual history of these dances and "region" is quite different. Also, I would stick with either Zakarpats'ka/Zakarpats'ky or Transcarpathian, and not mix the 2 languages up, as in Zakarpattian.
Stick with "Western Ukraine" for now and list all of the areas that perform Berezniankas, and other dances related to that melody. --tufkaa 15:24, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Backwards copy
editOnly noting because somebody tried to add it as a reference, making somebody else flag it as a copyvio: the website Dance and Dance seems to have copied a great deal of Wikipedia dance articles in 2010(without attribution). This page should not be flagged as a copyvio of that site. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 23:35, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
