The lede claims that the fort was "built by Bhagwant Das for his younger son Madho Singh I", but this doesn't seem plausible given that date of death of the former was 1589, and birth of the latter was 1728. Perhaps we have a disambiguation issue here. On an old version of the Alwar page, it was claimed that the father was Man Singh I, although that reference has recently been changed on the page by an IP user to a red link. Man Singh I has a date of death of 1614, so that still doesn't fit with birth date of Madho Singh I. Solutions welcome. Klbrain (talk) 09:23, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am led to believe that the Madho Singh who was the son of Bhagwant Das is not the Madho Singh I who was born in 1728. Madho Singh I was the son of Jai Singh II, but it is known that Man Singh I, son of Bhagwant Das, had a brother named Madho Singh. There is precious little information about Madho Singh beyond his taking ownership of Bhangarh Fort prior to its fall. Assuming these are different individuals, "Madho Singh I" should be de-linked in the lede, and the article should in no way state that the Madho Singh I of the 18th century was the Madho Singh who ruled Bhangarh Fort. If there is a problem with linking to the correct Madho Singh, that can be resolved. However we go by what WP:RS say rather than what editors feel is or isn't plausible, given their WP:OR. - LuckyLouie (talk) 20:30, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
