Non-anonymous Edits
editI just made a bunch of revisions to this entry but let my computer sit idle somewhere in the middle; it must have timed out my sign in. I just wanted anyone watching to know that I wasn't trying to be sneaky and anonymous and would welcome any feedback you have. Thanks. --Waywardprophet 11:50, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

editI've been To Bimini hundreds of times, and its 53 Miles due east of Miami Florida. Just pull up any map. I corrected the mileage. I also removed the spam link to Bimini Bay resorts at the bottom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.203.17.135 (talk) 19:01, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello...is there anybody out there?
editSo is anyone else keeping an eye on this Bimini entry? Am I stepping on any toes, inciting rage, pleasantly surprising, aggravating the hell out of, or slipping around like a ninja - completely unnoticed? Just wondering...--Waywardprophet 23:21, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh good, I'm glad I did ok...I'm new to Wikipedia but can already tell it will be a fast obsession. Just to give a little background on my interest with this entry (not sure if that is the norm here or not): I am fascinated by mystery and questions, and subsequently places thought to contain "majik". I have yet to travel to Bimini but it ranks first on my list of travel destinations. Anyway, I think this entry was pretty good to begin with, but hopefully has taken a few steps toward being better. I dislike "Mysteries of Bimini" being the first heading and will work (or if anyone else wants to "get in on this" I would love the help) on developing a stronger introduction. I also plan to add a small subsection to the "Mysteries of Bimini" for "The Shark Mounds". I'm thinking that the Prohibition-era rum-running ought to be its own section instead of an afterthought (I just put it there for the time being), but I know little about those activities. I will do my best to research it and hopefully expand it into its own section. We could also probably have a section for "Island Sports" and get those activities listed under that heading. I am really just whipping around like a hyperactive dervish; sorry 'bout that. If anyone has any opinions or advice I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks. --Waywardprophet 06:41, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Wording
edit"Whether these stones are in fact proof of a lost civilization, the work of stranded sailors or merely a natural geological formation has yet to be determined."
Hmm.. so stranded Chinese sailors = lost civilization? If I'm not missing anything, someone please change the wording.

edit"For many years, South Bimini tourists were limited to boaters because there were few accommodations other than private homes."
That's how it was, but how it is now? How do you travel between North and South Bimini? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.109.75.166 (talk) 13:41, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
First Paragraph
editI think the first paragraph/sentance regarding the origin of the name should either a) be its own article or b) be incorporated into this article as more introductory information, but in the 2nd or 3rd paragraph. Thoughts? Arx Fortis 04:32, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Movie
editThere's a movie named Bimini Code (1983). Worth adding? 121.75.117.249 (talk) 10:01, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- No. Merely having "Bimini" in the name is not sufficient reason to add a reference that could hardly be more peripheral and non-relevant to the subject. Carlstak (talk) 14:56, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
