editBishnuparsad Rabha is not yet forgotten as it implies. Refer to the web-links of newspaper articles on him recently. It's better to remove the forgotten tag associated with his name. It somehow gives a wrong impression about his present status among Assamese people. Moreover, since this wiki article is supposed to be factual article, opinions as 'forgotten' be better removed. Bodo or Rabha
edit@Fylindfotberserk: I am not sure about the ethnicity of Bishnu Rabha. We know that he was born in Dhaka and his father's name Gopal Chandra Rabha. I have not been able to confirm that he was actually a Boro. Since his father's name is Rabha it is possible it is possible it was his father who was a Boro raised in in a Rabha family. That he was a Boro was an idea that one of the sockpuppets pushed. Chaipau (talk) 10:45, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Chaipau: Was the book source here also added by Sairg? I'm unable to verify it. Tried with different wordings in Google. I found one here, but it looks like a circular source obviously, published in 2020. If his ethnicity is unclear, we should remove entry from Boro_people#Notable_people as well. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:52, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk: I have found some reference that Gopal Chandra Rabha was the person born Boro and raised Rabha. So it may remain here (will need to better reference), but I don't think Bishnu Rabha belongs in Boro people. People very frequently changed ethnicities in the past. - @Chaipau: Can you link the sources found here? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:30, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk: the sources I have found are not RS for referencing purposes. So I propose that We tag the current source as "clarify" or "better source required" for now. If I am unable to find a better source, I shall delete it. What do you say? Chaipau (talk) 11:46, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Chaipau: Agreed, better to tag it for now. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:04, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
