Politics
editBishnupur is a famous place for historical importance and terracotta art. Wikipedia page on Bishnupur should contain about it's location, importance and other information. How is politics section relevant here? 'Who has won in election from which party etc..'--what is the relevance of this information here. Rather give details about the kingdom and art, why are people vandalizing Wikipedia page with information about nasty politics? So i deleted the 'politics' section. -- Dipanjan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.171.243.36 (talk) 15:23, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Politics is an important section. It should remain. Add, with references, all the above. - Chandan Guha (talk) 16:34, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Politics may be important to some people, but if the page was 'Politics in Bishnupur' or 'Politics in Bankura' then it would have been relevant. Everyone knows Binshnupur is a place of historical and cultural importance. And in general point of view politics section describing which party, which candidate won elections is not relevant at all. Wikipedia is not someone's or some party's personal homepage that it will just bring in some irrelevant topic just because 'some' people think it important/ relevant. Please go to other Wikipedia pages describing towns of historical/ cultural importance in any nation, you will not find 'which candidate won from which party'. It will have wrong impression on Bishnupur and it's people to the viewers who do not belong to the place. --- Dipanjan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.78.237.60 (talk) 18:38, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
