** ALT1: ... that Black Krrsantan fought Chewbacca? Source: [2]

    • Comment: I do not know if this counts as a new article or not as it was a draft that has recently been accepted.

  •   Unfortunately, this article is not new enough to be eligible for DYK: it was moved from draft form to the mainspace on June 11, but only nominated for DYK on June 20 (past the seven-day limit). The article has not been expanded fivefold or promoted to GA status during this time period, either, so can't qualify under those alternative routes. I think it's not far off from being GA-worthy -- if the nominator wishes to do so in future, they could put "Black Krrsantan" through the GA review process and then afterwards re-nominate for DYK. •   Alanna the Brave, I'd like to point out WP:DYKSG#D9: The "seven days old" limit can be extended for a day or two upon request. In this case, I don't see why Kaleeb18 should be refused such a request for two days, which I think is implied by their initial Comment above. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:45, 11 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@BlueMoonset: I was under the impression that extending the deadline is discouraged when there is a large existing backlog of DYK nominations, but if you think I should, I can overlook that and do a full review. I note that Kaleeb18 has at least one other DYK nomination awaiting review (which is new enough to pass eligibility criteria). Alanna the Brave (talk) 11:04, 11 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Well, okay then -- as per BlueMoonset's strong support for such (and for the sake of keeping things moving), I'll overlook the 7-day criteria for this nomination. It complies with other criteria (comments below), and I have only one small text edit request.
  • Article is long enough and otherwise eligible (has not previously appeared on Main Page).
  • Article is supported by inline citations and list of references. Hook content is cited.
  • No dispute templates on article.
  • I ran Earwig to check for copy-vio issues: One source comes up with a 94% similarity,[3] but it seems pretty clear it's a mirror Wiki site that has copied the Wikipedia article (not the other way around). I checked other sources flagged with lower similarities, and I'm satisfied there are no copy-vio issues there -- it's just flagging names of TV episodes and longer pieces of text that are clearly marked as direct quotations in the Wikipedia article.
  • Article leans very positive about Black Krrsantan, but that seems reflective of general opinion and critics. Neutral enough.
  • Nominator has less than five DYK credits (this one would make #4), so no QPQ required.
  • Hook is short enough and properly formatted. Seems interesting and appropriately "hooky." --> For clarity's sake, however, I think it would be worth referring to Eric Francisco as "reviewer Eric Francisco" for the benefit of anyone who doesn't know who he is. Once this edit is made, I think the nomination will be ready to move forward. Alanna the Brave (talk) 22:29, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
The nominator has made the text adjustment, and I'm now satisfied that this hook is ready to go. Alanna the Brave (talk) 15:52, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Alanna the Brave and Kaleeb18: Typically, DYK doesn't include the names of people unless they are notable enough to have an article. Suggesting some ALTs below:
  • ALT0a: ... that a reviewer called Black Krrsantan one of the scariest Star Wars characters?
  • ALT0b: ... that a reviewer called Black Krrsantan one of "the scariest characters in Star Wars history"?
Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 15:36, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Z1720: Makes sense to me -- thanks for the suggested replacements. Personally, I like ALT0b (full quote seems more impactful). Alanna the Brave (talk) 15:50, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Z1720 I agree with ALT0b as well. ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 16:56, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
 Re-adding tick per original review and above. ALT0b preferred. Z1720 (talk) 16:58, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Came across this nomination while reading Template:Did you know nominations/Garsa Fwip; is this (Krrsantan) their sixth DYK nomination? Per a recent rule change, the QPQ requirement was changed so that it is a nominator's nominations rather than their credits that count towards the QPQ requirement. As such, if this is was their sixth nomination, they need to provide a QPQ for this one. If this is their fifth, no QPQ is needed. @Kaleeb18: Can you please clarify if this is indeed your sixth nomination? Courtesy ping @Sammi Brie, Alanna the Brave, and Z1720:. @Narutolovehinata5: These two nominations came in 12 minutes apart. Since this one (#6) was approved, I withheld approval on #5 until QPQ was supplied. (Note: nominator is away at a church camp for the next several days.) I would normally donate a QPQ (especially with how many I'm doing right now), but it's really important to get that first review under their belt.   Fair enough. Restoring tick per the above review. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 01:56, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
