Birth name

This IP might be on to something. The source provided is this from the California Birth Registry. A quick Google gives us this. I would consider using both sources original research, but it no doubt makes the "Christina" source moot. Nymf hideliho! 12:40, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Ryan Reynolds

She is currently dating her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds: http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/64877601.html#cutid1 124.179.145.38 (talk) 10:35, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

I could make a change, but I won't unless I know for sure about something. In the info box it says m. Jasmine Muli. Who the heck is that or is that vandalism? Mylittlezach (talk) 22:47, 10 September 2012 (UTC) Nevermind. Looks like someone else just read that and corrected it. Mylittlezach (talk) 22:48, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Edit request on 11 September 2012

n October 2011, it was reported that Lively had begun dating her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds. In June 2012, Reynolds and Lively purchased a cottage in Bedford, New York. The couple married on September 9, 2012, at a plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. 71.36.127.64 (talk) 21:42, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

She went to my friend's high school

Blake was also class president and a straight A student. Should this be mentioned in the article? 108.93.72.117 (talk) 02:52, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Do you have a reliable source to back it up? --A Wild Abigail Appears! Capture me. Moves. 02:54, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
See PEOPLE and biography.com. Also Yahoo. 108.93.72.117 (talk) 01:52, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

I attended her 18th birthday party on August 25, 2005. She was senior class president. My daughter was in her class. ----

Change image

Hi there, I suggest we change the infobox image- it seems outdated and Blake no longer has reddish-orange hair! I prefer we use the following, unless there are copyright issues:

Blake Lively

It's much more recent! Miss.Indecisive (talk) 11:46, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Just remember that you absolutely cannot upload an image unless it is a free image. Nymf (talk) 14:54, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

How would we classify an image as a 'free image'? Which do we upload? I'm quite a newbie at uploading pictures so would you be able to select another more recent image and upload it in the infobox? Miss.Indecisive (talk) 03:47, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

That is the most recent and best headshot available. We are limited to updating images when there aren't any readily available due to license restrictions. The picture is fine, she hasn't changed much in 3 years minus hair color LADY LOTUSTALK 12:31, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

I don't think the current photo (at 2014 Cannes) is all that flattering. Are there others available? 108.72.93.176 (talk) 21:38, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

In the fourth paragraph under CAREER, please change "Lively replaced Jennifer Lawrence as Ophelia, the latter dropped out to do The Hunger Games instead." to "Lively replaced Jennifer Lawrence as Ophelia, after the latter dropped out to do The Hunger Games instead.", to correct the grammatical error. 'Costarred' in Age of Adaline?

A small point, but shouldn't the second line be something like:

'She starred in the CW drama Gossip Girl (2007–12) as Serena van der Woodsen, and The Age of Adaline (2015), and has co-starred in such films as The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), Accepted (2006), The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), The Town (2010), Green Lantern (2011) and Savages (2012).'

'The Age of Adaline' has her character's name on the title, she starred, not co-starred in it.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.176.130.219 (talk) 14:03, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Model

I don't want to get yelled at, so I'm gonna put it here first. Since she has been in L'Oreal, Gucci, and Chanel advertisements among others, and international fashion magazine covers (not just promotional) I believe she can be considered a model and I believe that should be added to her occupation.Trillfendi (talk) 07:02, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

Teetotalism

Should it be mentioned in the article that Blake is a teetotaler?

Please change "She is the wife of actor Ryan Reynolds." to "She is married to actor Ryan Reynolds." As currently written this removes agency from the subject and promotes a view that, even with her own personal achievements, the subject is defined by a subordinate relationship to her husband and is his possession. ReachingFarr (talk) 17:48, 31 March 2018 (UTC)

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. There is no such meaning in ordinary English - the two phrases have identical meaning regarding agency and possession. If you want to make the argument that "wife of" always has agency and possession denotations, try the Talk:Wife page. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 18:07, 31 March 2018 (UTC)

Amend "Advocacy" section to reflect more current work, by tacking this on to the end:

In addition, Lively has worked to heighten public awareness of missing and exploited children and on-going efforts of law enforcement on their behalf.[1] 98.115.253.75 (talk) 19:51, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants

The articles about the first film and Lively's character Bridget mention how Bridget's white underwear in the trial scene was declared iconic. There's a reference associated with it too. Can this be added to her career beginnings section or something??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:E340:17F8:B42F:2D00:1EBA:F16E (talk) 17:28, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

You would need to provide a highly relevant, highly reliable source if you want the article to mention that. --Mirokado (talk) 18:22, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Here's the link I came across in the other articles. Up to you tho. https://www.shondaland.com/live/style/g22617210/5-pairs-of-iconic-film-underwear-1533147869/?slide=13 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:E340:17F8:B42F:2D00:1EBA:F16E (talk) 20:33, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the link: this is just an excuse for lots of advertisements in between each photo, so I don't think it should appear in the article. --Mirokado (talk) 20:51, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Canadian

I correct info

The half siblings are from the father not mother????? 67.83.72.121 (talk) 14:34, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Use of nee

The term nee is incorrectly applied in this case. It should say - ‘legally born as’ or ‘previously known as’. The term nee would apply if the actress took her husband surname name ‘Reynolds’ however as then it would read Blake Reynolds nee Lively. Dee poll (or electrical roll) or alias names are the same. Nee is the female form of the word and if the name has a male form of ne that can be applied to a man who has changed his name from his birth name. 80.2.18.176 (talk) 20:30, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Well, she did. She plays a gimmick character that has a good amount of screen time & is amply showed in the trailers too. She simply never has her mask taken off. 38.207.146.69 (talk) 15:42, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

It Ends With Us Controversy

The It Ends With Us press controversy should be added to Lively's page, especially as the controversy is widespread and major publications like Forbes, Rolling Stone, and Variety (amongst others) have written articles on it. 69.174.145.38 (talk) 19:22, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

It's very relevant to Lively's career 69.174.145.38 (talk) 19:24, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
I don't think every controversy related to a movie should be added on the actor's page. It's already added on the movie's page, that should be enough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jerry369 (talkcontribs) 10:39, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
