editNever seen the movie but I did find enough to convince me it should stay. Some of these cult films are viewed as significant for the way they portrayed women (at least some gender studies students and film critics think so LOL!!) Fleshed it out (no pun intended), stubbed, added some additional reviews and links. Hopefully someone will be able to expand it. --Bookgrrl 01:59, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

editSuicide
edit"(Writer and Director Meredith) Lucas committed suicide when she was unable to find a distributor for the film" - this seems an extraordinary thing to mention in passing, although neither of the article's references support it. Out of the fifteen Google results for "Meredith Lucas" and "Blood Orgy", only this one mentions Lucas' demise, and it seems wobbly (it reads as if it was sourced from Wikipedia's article, and it doesn't explicitly mention suicide). -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 23:15, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Cast/Crew Web Interviews
editAn independent blogger interviewed the writer/director of this film, and a few of the main cast and crew. These interviews have a lot of interesting information about the production, including confirmation from the creator that "Meredith Lucas" never existed, and her alleged suicide and the film's dedication were a publicity stunt.
The relevant guidelines here seem to be WP:BLPSPS and WP:SELFPUB, because the interview subjects are still living persons and the interview responses were written by them - that is, they're self-published, even though the information is hosted on an independent blog. The interview content follows all five of the criteria for self-published sources, so each interview can be treated as a reliable source for information about the production and release of the film.
