Death Date
editI would like to make an ammendment to bob irvings page, there is a factual error. Bob did die indeed at age 51 but the year was not 2002 as stated but in fact 1999.Jennifer1948 (talk) 10:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ah yes, I see what you mean, although the infobox and the intoduction state 1999, the Outside of rugby league section states 2002 (this information comes from here). Would you know whether the "born Huddersfield, Yorkshire 15 December 1948; died Blackpool, Lancashire 18 April 1999." information is correct? This would have made him 50 at the time of his death, not 51. Would you happen to be related to Bob? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 11:45, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Bob was born in Castle Hill area of Huddersfield 15February (not December) 1948 so at the time of his death April 1999 was 51 years old. I was his wife at the time of his death. We lived in Blackpool where Bob had been a senior lecturer at Blackpool and Fylde College in Business Studies. We ran a soup kitchen for homeless and displaced people and Bob did a lot of work with the catholic church. One article he wrote for Taxation magazine (he sat on the committee in London) a couple of weeks before his untimely death was made into a obituary for May 1999 magazine.00:51, 1 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jennifer1948 (talk • contribs)
- I hope you don't mind, but I've made the corrections to this article. If there are further details in the May 1999 edition of Taxation magazine, or other sources, then these could be added to this article. If you like, and you have the technology, you could scan the appropriate pages of the magazine, and email it to me at herbert_chapmans_ghost@hotmail.com, and I'll amend this article. Sympathy and Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 09:31, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
