The contents of the Bott boi page were merged into Chicken and dumplings on 7 August 2019 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.

I think it may be more appropriate to leave this page as Pennsylvania Dutch pot pie rather than bott boi. Although "bott boi" is its proper name in Pennsylvania Dutch, it is more commonly referred to as "pot pie" in English, so I think it should follow the English pronunciation and spelling. I don't think it is...pot pie in English generally refers to pot pie. This is actually called chicken and dumplings in English and I proposed a merger which I think should conclude before a move discussion here. I can see you are a new editor, but your comment on the merge discussion Having eaten both of these dishes many times, I believe them to be distinct. is not something that will effect the decision to merge — this would have to be based on WP:RS which seem to say they are same thing, only called by different names. I suggest interested editors to continue the discussion at the merger proposal Talk:Chicken_and_dumplings#Proposed_merge_with_Bott_boiSeraphim System(talk)20:55, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
