Photos required
editsome better ones than the two currently displayed in this article. The station the subject of this article was named the World Transport Building of the Year in 2009. It therefore deserves some really top class photos. A good idea of the sorts of photos required can be gleaned from the webside of WOHA, the architects of the station. There must be a Singapore based Wikieditor who could take some similar photos and upload them. Bahnfrend (talk) 08:39, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:NS logo.jpg
editImage:NS logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- Well it is used on official maps. See here. Should I have put it in the lead, or just left in the infobox (btw we have just removed station codes from the lead, I'm afraid.)--ZKang123 (talk) 12:47, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- It needs to be somewhere in the article other than just unexplained in the infobox. And referenced, of course. The Rambling Man (Hands! Face! Space!!!!) 14:45, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- All right, added in the station details services section.--ZKang123 (talk) 00:53, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

- "glass roof, which is the key feature of the station." glass isn't mentioned anywhere other than in this image caption, so if it's a "key feature" then I would expect it to be covered in the article too. The Rambling Man (Hands! Face! Space!!!!) 07:04, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

... that the designs of the Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations by WOHA were commissioned through the Marina line Architectural Design Competition?
Improved to Good Article status by ZKang123 (talk). Self-nominated at 10:06, 27 January 2021 (UTC).
- Full review to follow, but perhaps more clearer hooks could be proposed here? The current hook doesn't really seem clear to non-Singaporeans since non-Singaporeans may not know what the "Marina Line Architectural Design Competition" is. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:47, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
ALT1: ... that the designs of the Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations by WOHA were commissioned through the Marina line Architectural Design Competition, an open international competition jointly held by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Singapore Institute of Architects?
- That's really really long, outside the 200 character requirement for hooks. Maybe try highlighting something unusual or interesting about the stations instead? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:51, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Maybe I will try shortening it:
ALT2: ... that the Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations' design by WOHA were commissioned through an open international architectural competition organised by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Singapore Institute of Architects?
- Alternatively I can try shortening it further and saying the following instead:
ALT3: ... that the Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations were designed by WOHA?
- I don't really have any alternative DYK; these two happened to have intriguing designs.--ZKang123 (talk) 00:30, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Both of them seem really Singapore-centric and the ALT2 is too long per WP:DYKSG#C3. I am willing to allow ALT3 as a possible "click to know more hook" but only if there are no remaining viable options. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:27, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- NLH5 asked me off-wiki to look at this nomination. Maybe we can focus on aspects of the design, but we don't need the hook to only be a mention of who the designer was. How about these? Epicgenius (talk) 16:07, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
ALT4: ... that Singapore's Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations, designed by WOHA, both received an Award for International Architecture from the Australian Institute of Architects?ALT5: ... that the Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations, designed by WOHA following a competition, both received numerous international architectural awards?
- If these don't work, we can go with separate hooks for each station: Epicgenius (talk) 16:07, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
ALTB1: ... that the Bras Basah MRT station, provisionally named "Museum" before its construction, was renamed for wet rice?ALTB2: ... that at 35 metres (115 ft) below ground level, the Bras Basah MRT station was the deepest Singapore MRT station when built?- ALTS1: ... that the architect of Singapore's Stadium MRT station, forced to revise the design, simply rotated the original plan on its side?
- ALTS2: ... that to create the artwork for Singapore's Stadium MRT station, a Brazilian model performed moves over a trampoline?
- NLH5 asked me off-wiki to look at this nomination. Maybe we can focus on aspects of the design, but we don't need the hook to only be a mention of who the designer was. How about these? Epicgenius (talk) 16:07, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

- Bras Basah MRT Station
- While the article would meet most of the DYK requirements for length, sourcing, hook verification and interest, the article was promoted to GA status in August 2020 and thus regrettably was nominated too late to qualify for DYK. As the nominator has no prior DYK credits, I would be willing to IAR here, but that would probably require a DYK discussion for approval. I note that the nominator indicated on Discord that they would have preferred a double hook; but due to the lateness concern along with how the individual suggestions appear to be far more eye-catching than the double hook proposals, this request will have to be declined for now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:04, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Stadium MRT Station
- The article was promoted to GA status the day of this nomination, and both ALTS1 and ALTS2 are cited inline and verified in the sources. No QPQ is necessary for a first-time nominator. As both S1 and S2 are in my opinion excellent hooks, the choice of what hook to promote will be left to the promoter (I've made minor changes to both by mentioning that they're in Singapore). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:04, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- I will go with ALTS1 then. Thanks very much.--ZKang123 (talk) 02:22, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- I've temporarily pulled the article from prep as the promoted hook (ALT4) was not approved due to one of the articles being DYK ineligible. If there is still a desire to promote a hook using that angle, I am offering a single article version below (again, the choice of the hook is left to the promoter, although the nom has indicated a preference for ALTS1):
- It is always possible to modify one of the double hooks (ALT4 or ALT5) for use by setting the Bras Basah MRT Station as a non-bold link, if that makes it more effective by mentioning two stations rather than one and not too long. In that case, though, I'd place the sole bold hook, Stadium MRT station, so it's first of the two stations listed. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:33, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
