Subject of his Knighthood

edit

According to the cited source, May was "knighted for services to music and charity". Is there a reason the mention of his knighthood was placed at the end of the section on his scientific career, the one thing among his occupations that didn't contribute to the knighthood? Animal welfare not animal rights

edit

Brian May is an animal welfare advocate, not an animal rights activist. There is no good sourcing for rights. His own organization "Save me" describes itself as an "animal welfare organisation that exists to proactively protect wild animals through campaigning, lobbying and changing laws" [1]. In 2010 he received an award from the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

The Guardian article was being used incorrectly to claim he is an animal rights activist [2]. The article does not mention "rights" once, so this is WP:OR. Psychologist Guy (talk) 19:07, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
