Post-nominals and occupation
editI am starting this discussion as these issues keep coming up. I've ask foe page protection to encourage discussing them here. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:03, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Harold May during WWII
editThe early life section it says that Harold worked for Miniav. In s6e1 of the show Classic Albums about Night at the Opera Brian May says that his father carried a banjo/ukulele "throughout the war" implying that Harold was deployed.96.241.177.111 (talk) 17:44, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

editWhat is his relationship to this group? He does promo for them. Is he their producer? Is any member of the group his actual daughter? Skysong263 (talk) 07:24, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Spelling of stereoanaglyph
editCould someone check the spelling. I think it should be two words and web results are better for that version. But the web isn't a dictionary. --104.178.203.34 (talk) 04:48, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- Google Scholar is usually pretty good for resolving issues of this kind because it gives results from published academic articles. In this case the two word version gets nearly 400 hits compared to just 25 for the single word version. Hope that helps! JezGrove (talk) 12:28, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
Vocals in list of instruments
editI noticed in May's list of instruments that only "guitar" is listed. Since part of Queen's signature sound was three part harmonies and May is known for being a skilled vocalist in his own right, he should be listed accordingly. Therefore, I believe that "vocals" should be included in the list. ChristianJosephAllbee (talk) 03:30, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Queen 1970-95 heading
editThe article discusses events from 2004-2015 from: "[...] composer.[32] In recent years, he has supervised the remastering of Queen albums and various DVD and greatest hits releases. In 2004, he announced that he and drummer Roger Taylor were going on to [...]" until the next subheading (95-99)
Perhaps it would be better to put this discussion under a different heading. 122.62.137.227 (talk) 13:51, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Family
editHello, I have long been interested in the question, what date and in what year were the parents and grandchildren of Brian May born? Sorry for disturbing. Happy day to you! 83.169.216.75 (talk) 07:27, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Astrophysicist
editHaving a PhD in astrophysics doesn't make you an astrophysicist. Would someone like to put an updated list of publications next in the "Scientific work" section? Dr. Universe (talk) 22:32, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- He's an astrophysicist. The point has been previously discussed. See here [1]. Pikemaster (talk) 15:12, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
PhD Title
editThere is an invisible comment about not adding Dr or PhD to his name, I understand not adding Dr as he has received a knighthood and is therefore Sir Brian May, but why cannot it be: “Sir Brian Harold May CBE PhD”? ThatOneEli (talk) 13:46, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
- See MOS:PHD for the guideline on (not) using Ph.D. after the subject's name. CodeTalker (talk) 02:17, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Keyboards
editHe has played studio keyboards mostly in the 1980s and 1990s, he is credited with keyboards on Queen albums between The Game and Innuendo. He also played them live between the late 1980s and early 1990s (most notably at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert where he played live keyboards on "Too Much Love Will Kill You" and "Who Wants To Live Forever" but stopped playing them live at some point after 1997.
