The Timeline Gap Between CP3 and BOC!?
editAlthough never mentioned, Bride of Chucky must take place in 1999 because it would've taken several months to send the bag with Chucky's decapitated body (From Child's Play 3) to the evidence locker. CP1 took place in November 1988 when Andy was only six. CP2 took place 2 years later making Andy eight. In CP3, Andy was sixteen making it November 1998. So BOC takes place sometime either in January or February of 1999. The article says that Bride of Chucky probably takes place in December 1998 at the earliest, but there's no snow on the ground and no references to it being Christmastime. Also Tiffany says she's been looking for Chucky for more than 10 years. This might mean that Seed of Chucky takes place five years after the events of BOC and Glen/Glenda is only five years old rather than six. Can someone please explain to me their own theory on this take on the timeline gap. I know that the timeline really isn't that important to the Chucky series since only the first three films focused on Andy.
british-american coproduction
editThe film is produced by Universal Pictures an Midwinter Productions Inc. AFAIK is Midwinter a BRITISH company, so why does the article say it´s an Canadian/American-movie? --93.133.252.117 (talk) 23:51, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Didn't Pam Anderson sue or threaten to sue because the bride doll looked so much like her? I wonder what happened to that?``` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:642:4100:17A5:40AE:1F73:64E6:AD1 (talk) 20:29, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Original research
editSebastian James seems very determined to re-add potential original research into the article, even though some of it is opinionated. I mean, "Chucky's new permanent look, a more frightening appearance in which his face is covered in stitches, staples, and scars following his fate in Child's Play 3. Although made seven years after, the setting is one month following the events depicted in Child's Play 3, as the previous film took place chronologically in 1998, eight years after Child's Play 2."? Smells very much like personal analysis and no source for this is listed in the article. "More frightening" is an opinion, and no source indicates that it was derived from a quote from the filmmakers. There is also no source for how much time passed in between this film and Child's Play 3 and, if the timeline has continuity errors, I don't see how it even matters. Overall, sources are required for inclusion, not vice versa. DarkKnight2149 19:56, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
Genre
editI'm seeing the genre getting changed quite a bit lately, and I would just say this if the editor is reading - what you need for changes on an online encyclopedia are sources. I understand that the film has a lot of humor in it and could be very easily considered partly comedy, and I'm not saying I would be particularly averse to that change if you find a source for it, it's definitely an arguable point. But for now we've got to stick with what's established. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 03:46, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
