This Article on the Film does not say one word about what it was ABOUT

- I included a plot section. Took most of it from the German version, due to laziness.--Gavin1234 11:53, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Lame entry
editThe plot section of this is incredibly lame and should be removed until someone can write a better overview/synopsis.
Fair use rationale for Image:BridgetJonesDiaryMoviePoster.jpg
editImage:BridgetJonesDiaryMoviePoster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Without you by Renee Zellweger
editthe wiki link to the song Without you by Renee Zellweger directs you to the song by Badfinger, therefore is invalid (even in the cover versions). I am just reading this page after seeing the movie and do not intend to do any edits on this page, can somebody please fix. If nobody fixes within 24 hours I will fix by removing wiki link all together.--Theoneintraining (talk) 00:13, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Bridget Jones's Diary (film)
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Bridget Jones's Diary (film)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 06:24, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Moving trivia about birthdays of Hugh Grant and Colin Firth to Talk
editMoving this (self-labelled) trivia here. We try to avoid having this sort of thing in articles, and it seemed out of place where it was.
- Trivia: Hugh Grant, who portrays Daniel Cleaver, is only one day older than Colin Firth, who portrays Mark Darcy. Grant was born on September 9, 1960, and Firth on September 10, 1960.
If anybody can re-add it to the article in graceful way, I have no objection.

Merge soundtrack article?
editThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The article "Bridget Jones's Diary: Music from the Motion Picture", while successful in charts, contains content that most likely matches the content seen in the film article's "Soundtrack" section. Most of the soundtrack album contains old and new recordings of existing (i.e. previously released) songs. Furthermore, I think the film article can tolerate the soundtrack article's content, like charts and certifications. I doubt the soundtrack article can develop more and more, and the soundtrack album is split into two volumes. --George Ho (talk) 08:38, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
Update: I'll take this as either no objections or lack of discussion. I have merged the soundtrack article. Please feel free to revert if you object. --George Ho (talk) 03:13, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have reverted this merge per WP:BRD since no one added their opinion to this notable album having its own article per WP:GNG and WP:NALBUM. Aspects (talk) 00:29, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
