Recent edit war
editPlease remember to discuss conflicts; simply reverting back and forth is rarely productive, especially when dealing with newcomers who need a good example to follow. In the interest of encouraging that, I'm starting a placeholder thread, here. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:40, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I'm willing to discuss things if Xapxapxap is. I still don't think his suggested wording is justifiable. I agree that the replays appear to show Jordan touching Russell on the play, but it's a judgment call whether that contact constitutes a "push". We can certainly note that many people believe Jordan pushed off of Russell, and in this edit, I tried to include a quote from a sportswriter who believes that was the case. But we can't just say, "Jordan pushed Russell", and leave things at that.
- In retrospect, I shouldn't have said that "Russell slipped", because that could be interpreted as absolving Jordan of the blame. That wasn't my intention. When I wrote that, I was actually thinking of the moment when Russell stumbled getting up after Jordan seemed to push him. But I guess even that is problematic, because that's just my interpretation of the video. Zagalejo^^^ 04:35, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! Let's hope Xapxapxap is amenable to discussion, as well. – Luna Santin (talk) 06:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
I have protected the article to encourage discussion rather than this warring (there was a request for blocks at AIV). If consensus is not possible among participants, a third opinion or request for comment may be the best choice. Cheers.--chaser (talk) 05:44, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Bryon was born in Chicago, Illinois
editBryon was born in Chicago, Illinois —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.227.178.237 (talk) 23:29, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, all of my old NBA player registers say he was born in San Bernardino. However, his NBA player profile did say he was a "die-hard Chicago Cubs fan who resided in the Windy City until age ten", so your assertion seems plausible. Do you have a published source that says he was born in Chicago? Zagalejo^^^ 05:08, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
