Data Protection controversy
editShould we include the controversy regarding the Kerala government allowing a private company to analyse covid data? I am asking because this seems to have now become more a political controversy than a strictly medical / technical one. Also, should we mention the alleged data leak in Kasargod district? --Jose Mathew (talk) 14:32, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Don't think it's very necessary. If it's to be mentioned, it probably should be as short as possible. I don't think political controversies require detailed coverage. Jain Elizabeth (talk) 09:06, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Remove the 'Timeline of events' section and create a 'Government response' section
editI don't think there are many information in the section. Some of the information can be added to a new section 'Government response'(or something), and add the 'Break the chain' and Repatrating section also under that. As for the cases, there is a detailed timeline of cases in the 'Timeline of cases' section.TheunknownKiran (talk) 15:45, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
Testing
editThis page requires a section dedicated to statistics on number of samples tested. ChandlerMinh (talk) 06:17, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
- The statement "Kerala now has the 3rd highest number of confirmed cases in India after Maharashtra and Karnataka." should be put into context: there is a lot more testing going on here than in (for instance) UP, where the testing capacity is insufficient or (allegedly) even actively suppressed... Page size
editThis article has 457,762 bytes of markup; that's far too large. The page should be split into several parts. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:23, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- The gigantic day-by-day table needs to go, as does the one listing each individual death. Both provide excessive detail that could be easily summarized in more reader-friendly forms. pauli133 (talk) 02:57, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- I can create a Timeline of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kerala article for the day-by-day table as well the section listing the individual deaths. Have some experience with the New Zealand and Malaysian articles so this should be manageable. Andykatib 10:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
