color info appears wrong

edit

It says 16 million colors but every screenshot uses only a 12bit RGB color palette. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.163.191 (talk) 01:31, 18 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Have to concur with this. I also don't think that the ANY CPS version supports true alpha, only on/off 1 bit style alpha. A lot of games use 50% alternating dither patterns to simulate transparency, which works very well on CRTs especially. Jzoidberg (talk) 06:35, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

MAME

edit

this article needs to be updates as MAME now has its own XOR tables used in decryption. http://mamedev.org/updates/whatsnew_0110u2.txt Cartoonborg 17:03, 10 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

also the game list should be updated this page, http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=795&gid=136 may be handy as a source. Cartoonborg 20:44, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

At the end of next week I will probably split the game list. Cartoonborg 20:49, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

What happened to the link to the full list of games, and why was the page set to redirect here? The list on this page is missing several games which is why I created a sperate page with all of the games. Cartoonborg 14:44, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do tell which games it is missing. The list on this page is now complete as far as I know. We don't need a separate page for the list of games because the main article doesn't exceed 32 kB as it is. 82.130.28.81 19:51, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
there is a full list here http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=795

Missing games include but are not limited to Choko and Ken Sei Mogura. Also perhaps the names of the colums should be renamed from English title to another term as some of the games have different names that are still in english. Example Vampire : The Night Warriors / Darkstalkers : The Night Warriors first name was used in japan and only japan both tiles are in english at least on the title screens. Also some games used what is called the Japanese title in the article in the "Asia" region ex Stret fighter Zero in BOTH japan asia and south america (unsure about south america). Cartoonborg 14:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Choko is already on the list, as "Janpai Puzzle Chōkō", as it should. Kensei Mogura runs on the CPS-1 hardware, so it's on that page. I added Galum Pa! and Pnickies as a HTML comment right before the table, because their whole existence is under doubt. The list is complete.
I think the non-English/Japanese names are unnecessary clutter and should be mentioned only in the game's own article, but if you figure out a good way to add them (without unnecessary clutter), go ahead. I did however add the Asian name of Warriors of Fate to the CPS-1 page because it's different from both the English and Japanese names. 82.130.28.81 11:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

All right I agree that any prototype games will need to have further proof. As for the names issue someone else should fix it as I don't feel capable. Cartoonborg 22:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

Mega Man: The Power Battle is a CPS-1 game, it should be moved to its respective page.

Hello Sceeegt! In this edit you added some references which depend on citations named "csend23" and "csend4". But no such citations exist, so the article generates an error. Are you able to provide the needed citations so the errors can be fixed? -- mikeblas (talk) 16:11, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
