Talk:Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Merge?

edit

Probably should be merged with Welsh Corgi. Thoughts?

In my opinion no. These dogs are two separate breeds who trace their lineage to entirely different ancestors. They only share the same name because they are the same type of dog from the same region just like collies.--Absintalsem (talk) 21:51, 15 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Do you honestly believe that two breeds named Corgis from Wales that are almost indistinguishable phenotypically have entirely different ancestors? What would be the basis of that, the nonsense put out by breed club websites that do not ascribe an author nor cite scientific or historical references? However, these are recognized as 2 separate breeds and warrant their own articles. William Harris • (talk) • 10:08, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
