Lewis
editIs he really Lewis's father? ☺ APclark Be nice not nasty 18:53, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- That's never been implied.--Steven X 08:35, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
"A few scenes have vaguely implied that he is married to Homer's neighbor Ruth Powers"
editRestructuring article/Origins
editHi, I restructured the article, I think it looks better now. I just want to ask, how does Carl being African American/good at bastketball imply that he might not have grown up in Iceland... and where is it stated that he grew up in Iceland anyway? Melofetehgold 11:36, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Also, where is it implied that he is married to Ruth Powers?
"I can't feed my family with a codpiece!" - Carl Carlson FaustX 19:00, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
In the episode where Lisa protests light pollution after taking up astronomy because a snooty documentarian said she was a "buffet intellectual" the mayor turns the city lights up to "perma-noon" which causes Carl to say "you know what this reminds me of? My Icelandic childhood." I think that should be reflected in the article, since it's a recent, canon episode (that is, not a halloween episode or fantasy sequence, etc).Yipely 20:24, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Khazakistan?
editKhazakistan? Shouldn't it read "Kazakhstan"? Or is the reference correct and refers to a fictional Simpons based country? Could Carl be related to Borat? Enquiring minds with nothing better to do, want to know...Sceptic-all 13:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Brutal
editWhy is it that fans have to incorporate every single meaningless throwaway joke into the article? I'm tempted to slap a cleanup tag on here. 199.126.137.209 19:47, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Because, random users slip random stuff that they think is "important" into the article and we the serious editors get tired of cleaning up every Simpsons-related page every time people add stuff. -- Scorpion 19:49, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Lennysheaven.jpg
editImage:Lennysheaven.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Serious 'joke'
editI remember a bit where Marge in There's Something About Marrying, in all seriousness, admonishes Homer to allow Lenny and Carl to work out their feelings for each other without Homer pushing them to get hitched. I checked the Wiki-article and nothing. Oh wells. Lots42 (talk) 10:26, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Him and Bernice
editThe hint that Carl and Bernice had a former relationship is hinted in The Simpsons Game. In the Springfield Hub, you may eventually hear them have a conversation. It is revealed then.62.31.242.55 (talk) 07:48, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Carl is not African American...
editIf Carl was born in Iceland (as stated in the first paragraph), why is he listed as an African American? He is an Icelandic American, so I'm going to remove him from the African American category and create an Icelandic American category and put him in it. ElijahTM (talk) 19:32, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- He grew up in Iceland but he is obviouisly African American--HereticLord 22:21, 16 June 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heretic777 (talk • contribs)
- He's an American citizen, which would make him an African-American as well as an Icelandic-American (and he just says he had an "Icelandic boyhood", it does not necessarily mean he was born in Iceland). -- Scorpion0422 22:46, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
I don't understand!
editUnder Personality, "Carl often serves as a taciturn straight man to Homer and company". Do u meen straight, non-gay or what?... Chippen dog (talk) 12:19, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- No - from straight man- "An archetypal comic foil, especially in a comedy duo; a character whose seriousness, obliviousness or both conflicts with one or more other characters to comic effect." Nothing to do with sexual orientation (and not ruling scoliosis....)--MartinUK (talk) 21:24, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
his political afillations?
editWhich episode was it that he stated : "I like this Juan Peron. If he wanted you to disappear, you would disappear"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.134.28.194 (talk) 08:16, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Complete name
editIn the episode The Devil Wears Nada we can see on the table of Carl that his complete name is C. Carl Carson. --Mystère Martin (talk) 14:57, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Merge?
editI've started a discussion on merging this article (along with Lenny Leonard) to a list. Discussion's on the Simpsons project talk page. Harry Blue5 (talk) 22:46, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
