Greetings and request
editGreetings Harry Blue5 - am slightly intrigued as to why you slapped an AfD on Mr. Ratburn when a simple merge proposal there and at the Arthur page would suffice, especially as I see that you are a member of the Dr Who project, which currently has over 1,600 associated article pages, some of which must be less notable than others.--Technopat (talk) 17:23, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for reply. Am all for being bold, but don't forget that that also includes saving articles that might seem lost causes. Happy editing! --Technopat (talk) 18:40, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Tyson, Percy Jackson.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Tyson, Percy Jackson.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 22:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Re: Userfy DragonFable
editI've emailed you the second-most-recent version of the page, minus the deletion tags, using the Wikipedia email feature. I didn't want to undelete it because it has an extraordinarily long history, which might make it difficult for me to re-delete it again later. The emailed version should suffice if you just want to see which sources were used. Graham87 15:10, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Re: DragonFable
editI'd say the article would be ready after adding 5 more sources? I would like to expand the storyline section but I'm using a school-commissioned laptop so most of the stuff I want to access is blocked. Keep up the good work! Regards, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 8:58pm • 09:58, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- Oh you could perhaps use the version of the article before deletion to get most of the information. DragonFable is older and has a lot of articles from credible sources like IGN which is used in the old version if memory serves. I can definitely seeing this becoming a real article :) —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 9:00pm • 10:00, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

- Due to my access restrictions online I cannot do that, perhaps if you get another experienced user to do so? I would but anything DragonFable or game-related is blocked by the filter. Good luck and warm regards, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 9:49pm • 10:49, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

- Lol, probably not considering Artix Entertainment is quite a large company, they're set to change their name to BattleOn! Games Inc. soon I believe, I forgot where I saw that but that's irrelevant. Back then AFD was analogous to handing out the Reviewer permission, care was taken but in the end only a few checks were made. Bad analogy but I'm sure you get the point. The Plot should be split into subsections, I believe we shouldn't explain the Chaos Lord plot too much. I'll fix that but otherwise you've done fantastic work so far Harry :) Regards, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 10:07am • 23:07, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah you're right about that, join the irc://irc.freenode.net network, I'm on for about 12 hours of the day during weekends lol. Anyway I'll try and shorten the plot, but the fact that the plot overextends the article length itself is just unnecesary and if anything will be reason for the article to pop over at AFD again... anyway I'll get on to shortening the plot. Cheers, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 10:22am • 23:22, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Ok I cannot figure out how to shorten the plot without removing the useful info, perhaps a complete re-write is in order? I remember AdventureQuest almost had a scrape at AfD after the plot and clans sections were as long as the rest of the article. —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 10:39am • 23:39, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well we could briefly explain each chapter (so to speak) in the Chaos arc without overdoing it. —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 11:08am • 00:08, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yes so the problem lies in the prose. I'll see what I can do. Regards, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 11:27am • 00:27, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's ready to be an article IMO, I'll try and see what I can do about the incredibly large plot. Regards, —Ғяіᴆaз'§Đøøм • Champagne? • 4:24pm • 05:24, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

editHi Harry, that page has already been userfied to User:Fridae'sDoom/AQW. You are allowed to edit that version even though it is not in your userspace. Tell me when you move that page into the main namespace, so I can undelete all the other edits to make the article history complete again. Graham87 02:08, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I notice that you already knew about the other userfied version. Re-userfying the page isn't a great idea IMO, since it messes up the page history even more. Just edit the version that already exists. Graham87 02:14, 20 October 2010

Discworld Characters
editBefore you go on with your project, I would seriously think about how long and unwieldy a "List of Discworld Characters" article is going to wind up being(even if you neglect mention of "minor" discworld characters--a very subjective classification).
If you still want to go ahead with it after that, would you like some help?
Also, re: consensus before I obsoleted(I know it's not a real word, but you know what I mean) the discworld characters page: I put the message up more than two weeks before I did anything. I don't believe there's enough people interested for a consensus to be reached.....and if there is, their silence gets them the right to more silence.--Mobtown Mongrel (talk) 16:30, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't read what you had planned on doing closely enough. Please don't. The characters who are the central focus of their own sub-series should have their own separate articles (i.e. Death, Rincewind, etc.) Furthermore, to describe a fictional universe and it's constituents, it is necessary to use the creator of that universe as a source....this doesn't necessarily qualify as a primary source as the creator of the fictional universe is not being used as a source on information about himself but rather about his creation, and there can be no greater authority than that. Eliminating all articles that use a source other than Pratchett himself will kill wikipedia's coverage of Discworld--the only information that would be allowed would be critical evaluation of Discworld with no information on how Pratchett has set Discworld up and who he populated it with. Things are best left the way they are(which would avoid, as I've said before, a lengthy and unwieldy characters page that would basically amount to a "list of random information") or, at the very most, a list of discworld characters article with major, MAJOR characters having their own separate articles. For now, I'm undoing what you've done because, unlike me before I started my project, you made little to no attempt to gather consensus on what you were doing, you just went ahead and started doing it without asking what others thought of what you were doing. Please postpone what you are doing until consensus is reached on this(unlike my project, you do have at least one person objecting to what you're doing before it's done). I'll tag some people to give their two cents on it.--Mobtown Mongrel (talk) 17:02, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Here's a fine place to discuss it(and future Discworld-related changes): User:Serendipodous/Discworld. Did you want to "speak" first there, or should I start? Also, I didn't say I achieved consensus, I said I made the attempt to.......and actually, if you read the guideline you suggested I read, it falls more in line with what I did than with what you did........but let's not go there; of more importance is settling what we're going to do about Discworld characters.--Mobtown Mongrel (talk) 18:12, 19 January 2011 (UTC) Just a note to save you a bit of work: I keep a fairly close eye on my watchlist so I'll notice whenever you leave a message on Serendipodous' Discworld page; it's not necessary for you to let me know you left a response.--Mobtown Mongrel (talk) 18:28, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

What do you think should be done with this article. I am recommending a trimmed merge to Solo family. Jhenderson 777 20:30, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'd think so too unless or until notability can be proven. Do you think you could trim it to the more important details though. To much detail for merging. Jhenderson 777 20:37, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you know the story inside and out that would be easier.:)
Also due to the commotion going on in the Star Wars character list article I think we should probably divide the Star Wars film characters and the Expanded Universe characters. What do you think about that. And my minds wrestling about how to format the list too. Jhenderson 777 23:14, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you know the story inside and out that would be easier.:)
- I am a little late about talking about this. The expanded universe characters I do plan to leave as is. The one I am not sure to format is the film characters. I could maybe leave it to "minor character in films" because it's not necessary to do information on characters who have articles. Also at the same time linking them might be necessary but that's sort of what the template I created was for. Basically there are so many options to do this. Jhenderson 777 20:33, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Re: Template:Soul series
editMight work that way...the thing is the category does do a rather good job as it were, and the characters' appearances in the series doesn't amount to much other than cameos as they were. Cad Bane
editThe truth is I support the idea of a Clone Wars list article but not exactly merging Cad Bane. It could be a bias of me starting the article but I feel the article stands out and proves notability definitely for such a new character. I feel the list article could summarize the article like a lead. Just adding the reception on the list article doesn't mean it would work better than being a divided article. And of course I am a inclusionist as well. Redirections are not the answer for a article that happen to be in good shape so far in my opinion. Jhenderson 777 01:15, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Cool Barnstar!
editI just want to tell you personally (since you should know I am a Star Wars fan by now) that I like your barnstar. I got to have one of those one time. I wants it, I wants the precious! and that last remark was a joke but I do like the barnstar! ;) You have been pretty good with Star Wars related articles though, you must do it because you like it. The problem with me is I can catch up on other projects easily since I have a lot of them but I just like you want the Star Wars related articles to be more consistent as well. And I envy you respectfully for doing the reception sections first. I was thinking about them but I haven't gotten around with doing that yet because like I said I can get caught up. So kudos. editI have actually been busy with real life this time. I would be favor for keeps with Max Rebo Band because if you look carefully you will notice that it's a haven for the character's affiliated with that band to be redirected to there. For example: Sy Snootles. and it has a pretty useful concept and creation that I wouldn't be sure be useful anywhere else. I am pretty sure this fictional band has got to be as notable as this Star Wars fictional band too but that's kind of a point of view in my part. As for Starkiller I might just download you one of those images if you don't mind. Jhenderson 777 00:00, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Original and prequel trilogy
editI was thinking about it and then changed my mind but I really feel like doing it now. I want the original trilogy of Star Wars and the prequel trilogy of Star Wars to have their own article. What I might need you for (if you feel like it) is to summarize the reception for the particular trilogies and store them for good use. You probably don't even have to get outside of Wikipedia do it. I will probably use a incubator to bring the articles to life and be a good storage place for them. What do you think of the prequel/original trilogy split. Jhenderson 777 18:57, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- This is something I am experimenting in on a incubator to see how it looks and if it looks nice then there will be a consensus of moving incubator history to as a article. When it comes to the Star Wars article, there's a few trimmings that can be done with the article. That cast box should probably go because there is a list article that shows all of them and smaller cast boxes could probably go on the divided trilogy article....and the publication history can be a bit trimmed and while the subtrilogies get their own main article hatnote just like the Star Wars sequel trilogy section of the Star Wars film article. What about a reception section though. Can you figure out a way to create a reception section and box office performance section that isn't redundant of any other Star Wars film article. That's the only thing I am probably having a hard time figuring out. Jhenderson 777 19:54, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Changed my objective. I want a film series article instead. This is an starting example of what it would look like. The Star Wars article would be a trim summarizing this article and the sequel trilogy article would be merged in the film series article. What do you think so far? editThanks for uploading File:Woodytoystory2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
- To opt out of these bot messages, add
{{bots|deny=DASHBot}}
to your talk page. - If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.
Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 06:02, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

WP Star Wars in the Signpost
editThe WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Star Wars for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 05:04, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
