Notation is unclear

I'm a little confused by the notation, and not sure which is the correct interpretation.

Does

$\sum _{k=1}^{\infty }s_{2k}^{-1/2k}=\sum _{k=1}^{\infty }s_{2k}^{-{\frac {1}{2}}k}\;?$

Or does

$\sum _{k=1}^{\infty }s_{2k}^{-1/2k}=\sum _{k=1}^{\infty }s_{2k}^{-{\frac {1}{2k}}}\;?$
