I don't think "The Traditional Cat Association" belongs here with the respectful cat associations. There have been too many controversies regarding its pedigree practises, authoritarian management and bussiness oriented attitude. The hidden link that leads right to their website is at least inappriopriate 83.7.171.184 (talk) 23:37, 7 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree that it seems surprising to find TCA listed with the legitimate associations. and in fact they are the only one listed that does not have mutual transfer agreements with major international registries. Probably because their registration practices are so loose. and they're run by an individual who tells breeders not to register their cats in the other registries . (and if a breeder actually does have cats registered with a more reliable registry, it is really doing them a disservice to tell them to take them out of that and only register them with TCA. This would stop their lines being used as outcrosses by breeders in the other registries, since they couldn't register the progeny. Plus it puts them on the same footing as someone who finds a moggy who vaguely resembles some breed and sends in 3 photos and money to register it with TCA. )

So I will "be bold" and delete. Wichienmaat (talk) 09:42, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
