have given the content a tidy-up today, should be a touch more accurate and provides a bit more information. Dibo 11:44, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- i don't know how to do it, but we ought to put in bits for the mariners' medal winner (michael beauchamp), the golden boot (stewart petrie), the jesters' pies marinators' goal of the year (noel spencer, r.1 vs perth) and the chairman's medal (jointly awarded to john hutchinson and and media officer ben coonan). Dibo 12:30, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- played for a little, and put in mroe content. could be better, if anyone can help with formatting, that'd be great! Dibo 12:46, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Name
Central Coast Mariners Football club is not a registered name. What is the actual registered name? Is it "Central Coast Football"? Xtra 01:40, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- not sure, but the club refers to itself as central coast mariners football club. as for registration of name, ??? no idea. it's certainly not ccm ass. inc. Dibo 13:27, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
ASA or FFA
Dibo, you changed ASA to FFA, however at the point in time the article is referring to the name was ASA. Is there a wiki protocol for this type of problem? MyNameIsNotBob 05:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- okey doke - there might be an argument for leaving it as was, but with the addition of something clarifying that it is the name the FFA went under until whatever date it was. The problem really is that that's not quite right either - it went under the name Soccer Australia for quite a few years - from around the mid-90's when the first A-League happened with Ericsson and Optus funding. I'm not too fussy, I just wanted to avoid confusion. Dibo 06:37, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Separate Article
I propose we make a separate article for each season (once it has been outdated), or a group of seasons (maybe a decade per article) and add to it the description, any tables specific to that year, and the awards for that year. It would make the page flow a lot better, I reckon. Killfest2 00:39, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- I made a template also: Killfest2 00:53, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
(Template now deleted as redundant)
- Oh, and I created the biography for those who didn't have one on the current squad lists. Feel free to expand on them! Killfest2 01:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- If no-one objects within 12 hours, I'll delete the info which is in the 05-06 article, which can be found here. Killfest2 09:38, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- I removed the parts to do with the 2005-06 season, and put the template in. Killfest2 01:40, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article. All links to dates are now for context - others removed. 11:13, 21 August 2006 (UTC)Please reorder/rename the last few sections to follow guidelines at WP:GTL.Done. 08:01, 31 August 2006 (UTC)As done in WP:FOOTNOTE, footnotes usually are located right after a punctuation mark (as recommended by the CMS, but not mandatory), such that there is no space inbetween. For example, the sun is larger than the moon [2]. is usually written as the sun is larger than the moon.[2]Done. 11:11, 21 August 2006 (UTC)- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that the it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. Pass Good Article
Well written, very well referenced, broad in coverage, no blatant POV I could figure out, features licensed images... What could be asked more? Congratulations to all editors, but specially to Daniel.Bryant, for all the work he's been doing on this article, good job.--Serte [ Talk · Contrib ] 21:54, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

- Yes good article *does dance* Well done Daniel.Bryant for writing and referencing most of this page. We are the benchmark for the A-league. Boltonfan22 08:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it'd be good if the A-League could set a benchmark for the rest of the football (soccer) articles sometime into the future :) Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 09:51, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Minor Change
Just changed "mainly" to "predominantly" in Mori's description. It's better grammatically. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.170.39.103 (talk) 03:55, August 23, 2007 (UTC)
Board of directors
I think this title should change, not sure what to. The people on the "board" that are mentioned are not actually directors, directors are people like Peter Turnbull. 124.170.39.103 03:58, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I updated this a little, but I am not sure who all the current board members are? Kevrenor 03:12, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Nicknames and other items in top right box
How do we change the nicknames at the top right box. There are neutral ones like - salty dogs, fishermen, and there are pejorative ones which I won't mention here.
There is also a need to chnage Ian Kiernan from Chairman
Kevrenor 03:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Salty dogs, fisherman etc. are not nicknames, but rather attacks used by other teams in the guise of "nicknames". Find some reliable sources (ie. not forum posts) for them and they can be considered. It's actually an attack, and users will be blocked if they add them. And what does Ian Kiernan need to change from/to? Daniel 03:28, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- And this is why salty dogs is not a nickname eligable for inclusion on Wikipedia. Daniel 03:34, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
