I propose that CS (Central Station) be merged into PS (Physical Security). CS could easiliy fit into PS, and does not need its own article. Please feel free to leave comments and vote and such. Thanks, zappa.jake (talk) 21:45, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about the edit to the "central station" listing. I am new to this and was unsure what I was editing. No disrespect was intended. Now on to your proposed change. Could you please explain what physical security has to do with a central station. I do not see the comparison you are trying to make or the reason for a merge. Also, where do we discuss this proposed change? Any help for a beginner would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not a problem at all! Always glad to help a newbie around here! I think that they should be merged because the article Physical security discusses securing buildings and such. Central Station (Alarm Monitoring Center) discusses the place where security companies monitor their customer's systems. Alarms are a big part of PS, and CS has to do with alarms and such. To consolidate both articles into one place would make sense to me. Also, I think it's great that you're already creating new articles, because Wikipedia encourages users to be bold. I didn't take any disrespect at all, either! Don't know where you got that idea... Anyways, the official place for discussion is at CS's talk page. I'm moving what we've said to that page, but I'll also leave it here. In the future, please post comments or such on that page. Until we get a couple more people to vote on this, we will just leave the page as such. I may very well be wrong here too, and more people may side with you here. It's all good!
