Origin of the name Chao
editThis volcanic feature is locally known as "Cerro Echao". The word "echao" is colloquial Chilean Spanish for "echado", which means in English "lying down". Then somebody dropped the "e" from "echao". To perform a Google search for "Cerro Echao" to find sources. Jespinos (talk) 16:20, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
