Charles Hickman (theatre director and actor)Charles Hickman (director) – Another possibility is Charles Hickman (theatre director) or Charles Hickman (actor) but I feel that his main claim to notability is as a director.. As per the policy Wikipedia:Article titles and in particular, Naturalness, Precision, Concision, and Consistency. The current name is unwieldy, and non-standard, in that it does not align with others in the subcategories of Category:Directors. I think the shortened title of Charles Hickman (director) is ridiculously vague. It implies he could be a director of anything - a oil company, an accountancy business etc. Hickman's career was in theatre, both as an actor and as a director. Ellenrich (talk) 19:08, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's a possibility but I was basing it on the majority of people listed at Category:British theatre directors. Most are listed as (director), some as (theatre director), and others with different disambiguation types. Overall there are very few that are going to have two titles in the name. The idea is to go with concise. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 16:41, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
