Okay, if CMPD was only formed in the '90s, what did Charlotte do for policing before that? Hire Pinkertons? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 17:11, 30 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Temporary lock on page due to current events

edit

I am in the area affected by the protests, and I have monitored the page several times over the course of the protests, and I've noticed that the pages have been altered by replacing the name of the current police chief (Kerr Putney[1]) with an officer who resigned in disgrace nine years ago (Darrin White[2]). Until the situation is resolved, I recommend that the page be locked and reverted to the previous version, along with the retention of the controversies chapter. I'm sorry if I sound new, but it's been two years since I last logged in, and I figured that with what's going on in Charlotte, this page (and other pages related to Charlotte), could be the victim of vandalism. Controversy Section

edit

We already have specific articles regarding the two shootings, so it raises the question why the CMPD article would have its own section on the same thing. I propose knocking these down to a couple of sentences each and let their articles speak for themselves. --WashuOtaku (talk) 03:47, 27 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
