A fact from Charlotte McKinney appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 March 2015 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
If you can find one that's freely available, we can add it. I looked, believe me. I used the "contact us" form on her website to see if someone would release a photo into the public domain, but got no response. – Muboshgu (talk) 12:50, 27 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I am Charlotte Mckinney's business manager. I am listed on her official website under the contact page.
I am not sure what the intentions are to constantly change her birthday to the incorrect birthday, she she is 21 years old and her birthday is August 8, 1993. I know this for a fact as I have her Drivers License and Passport for when I book her flights. Also, I am her manager. Not Wilhelmina. They are her agents on the West Coast. If I was proficient enough in Wiki I would add new sections and list both Wilhelmina, and One Management as her agents, which I would be happy to, if i knew how. However, listed them as her manager is also invalid information. I thought the purpose of editors was to protect the integrity of the information listed, however every time I make the correct changes, someone reverts them. For what reason? Also, if you want a picture, I can provide this, I just did not know how to upload it. Please advise. Thank you. Modshop (talk) 18:24, 30 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi. The issue is that while I have no reason to doubt that you are who you say you are, we can't simply take you at your word. We need everything in Wikipedia to be verifiable, which means teh presence of reliable sources. Her website is a primary source and not ideal. For now, I'll take out the birth date entirely because I don't even see an RS saying August 6 of either year, and I don't know where it came from. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:32, 30 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Omitting the DOB is the right move until we can reliably source one date. As the for the manager thing, it still comes across as promotion to me. Modshop's comments on my talk page make it seem like he feels he's in some way earned the right to be mentioned in this article, which is not the way it works. Individual managers are rarely, if ever, mentioned in the infobox for models, largely (I assume) because it's encyclopedically irrelevant/typically sourced to primary sources. Not to mention, being willing to edit war to get your name in an article always looks highly COI-ish. Mbinebritalk ←18:56, 30 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I included a source which is FamousBirthdays.com and they do not post unless they have verified the information with a member of the team. The editor personally reached out to me before it was posted and asked me to verify her birthdate. Also, I will go into an "edit war" on any matter, not just my name, as I did the birthday. Doesn't matter to me what the topic is, this is a principal issue as I have her best interest in mind. And if you have some issue with not listing my name in the manager box, then remove the manager box all together as well! Why is it okay that Wilhelmina Models is listed as her manager when they are simply one of her agents out of two, not managers. I am clearly listed on her site as her manager under the contact page as well as my email with her domain. Which I am happy to verify with any one of you. If information is to be displayed, I simply want it to be correct. I don't care if my name is there or not, but if manager will be listed then my name should surely be there. No ego issues here. If my name is not in that box, then the manager title needs to be removed and replaced with agency and in that case UTA, One Management, and Wilhelmina all need to be listed.
